Dear Mr Simmons,Anagram Encore
I always thought Anagram was a very good software package, and certainly very suitable for us in a distribution business. It seemed to provide all we needed. But then there came Encore! We've now been using Encore for nearly two years, though it seems much longer, and I have to say it certainly is an advance on Anagram. So I thought I'd let you know!
It took a little bit of getting used to for all of us, though we did not need to run in parallel at the changeover. We felt that would have been just too much hard work. The changeover went without any problems - even in the middle of a VAT period! Everyone here seems to like the system, and being Windows based certainly has benefits.
One huge advantage from my point of view is being able to post to previous periods and hence not having to complete a 'month end' before making postings for the new month. That is what I always had to do, in order to have meaningful monthly accounts.
Another benefit is that we are much nearer being paperless, due to the fact that information is held permanently on the system. The information we can find from the records never ceases to amaze me.
Finally I must say how very helpful Glennis and Emma are in helping with queries and problems. There always seems to be one of them available to speak to, though there seems to have been little need for some time now.
